Our customers at Hampshire Cheese Company are passionate about food – and love to experience culinary excellence in person as well as at home. Where better to enjoy truly original recipes, made from scratch with local ingredients than a specialist deli such as Madeleine’s Kitchen in Petersfield, East Hampshire.

Before you even reach the Deli counter to select your breakfast or lunch, customers can feast their eyes on a stunning collection of home made fresh and frozen soups, stews, tagines and casseroles ready to feed hungry tummies, or carefully selected locally sourced fresh deli produce such as Tunworth, Susana & Daughters Kefir, Chalk Stream Trout or the Weald Smokery’s Smoked Duck or Venison. The shelves are brimming with original hand picked gourmet pantry supplies, from chocolates to olive oil, cheese biscuits to pestos.

As you reach the deli counter, the day’s menu reveals a mouthwatering selection of goodies for breakfast or lunch. The flavours reflect founders Antonia and Kathryn’s personal journeys through Europe and Asia, with dishes such as Spanakopita, Moroccan Lamb Pie, melt in the mouth Cheese Straws, Smoked Salmon, Watercress Quiche and Persian Salad, alongside big fat deli sandwiches! If you have space, or are perhaps just looking for something to accompany some delicious Winchester Coffee Roaster’s freshly made coffee, their range of cakes and sweet treats is impossible to resist.

Madeleine’s also offers food to order that can be collected from the Deli. The weekly menu is shared to email subscribers – a perfect solution for busy households to enjoy freshly made food that tastes like it comes from your kitchen.

Madeleine’s was founded in March 2015 following friends Antonia Troth and Kathryn Rodbert’s dream to evolve their home catering business into a vibrant eat-in delicatessen with exceptional quality food made with ingredients you can find in your kitchen. With firm foundations in locally made and supplied ingredients, and a real ‘nose’ for original dry deli goods, Antonia, Kathryn and the Madeleine’s team have captured the imagination of the local community. Madeleine’s Kitchen is a thriving part of Petersfield life, and its reputation for excellence has resulted in deserved recognition with awards and national press mentions.

Madeleine’s Kitchen is open from Monday to Saturday, 830am to 5pm to eat in or take away. Explore the Customer Orders menu here for dishes from the Bakehouse to enjoy at home, for parties or picnics. Fresh meals and soups are available daily in the fridges and freezers, alongside the fresh deli produce.
